There will be a training meeting this Sunday, May 21, at 12:30. It is very important that everyone attend, so don't miss it!
Here's the packing list for DC:
CLOTHES
3-5 changes of work/paint clothes including work gloves, bandana, hat.
3-5 changes of ministry clothes including church clothes(guidelines below)
Knee length shorts for free time. Make sure that your shirts and shorts have no gapping holes or
stretched out arm or leg holes.
Underwear and socks.
1 pair of dress shoes, 1 pair of work shoes (boots), and 1 pair of tennis shoes (walking), No open-toed shoes
for work or ministry.
BED
P.J.s, flashlight, battery operated alarm clock
Twin size sheets, blanket, pillow, and towels
TOILETRIES
Soap, shampoo, razor, shaving cream, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste,
Brush or comb, ponytail holders, small mirror
Extra glasses, extra contact lenses, cleaning solution, sun glasses
Unscented moisturizer, nail clippers, nail file, bandages, Kleenex
Sunscreen and sunburn relief
OTHER
Bible and pens
Backpack, water bottle, camera and film
Extra money for snacks, souvenirs, and offering
Watch (inexpensive)
GUYS’ guidelines:
Ministry Dress (VBS, evangelism, church services)-Nice pants (slacks), nice collared shirt, nice shoes. Clothes should be without rips, holes or stains.
Construction/Sports Dress-Jeans, knee length shorts, basketball shorts are good for sports evangelism, work shirt (no tank tops or sleeveless), boots or strong tennis shoes. For your safety, NO SHORTS OR OPEN TOED SHOES ON CONSTRUCTION SITES!
LADIES’ guidelines:
Ministry Dress- Wear skirts to below the knee, t-shirts must have full length sleeves. Clothes should be without rips, holes or stains.
Construction/Sports Dress-Jeans, knee length shorts, basketball shorts are good for sports evangelism, work shirt (no tank tops), boots, strong shoes or tennis shoes. For your safety, NO SHORTS OR OPEN TOED SHOES ON CONSTRUCTION SITES!
NOT ALLOWED: No cutoff shirts or sleeveless shirts/dresses, no low neck shirts or shirts that don’t cover the midriff, clothes should not be form fitting. No sexual suggestive writing or beer/drug advertisements on clothing, no shorts/pants with holes, no loose soccer type shorts (when you sit down you shouldn’t be able to see up the leg of the shorts). No open-toed sandals. All shoes must be close-toed and preferably closed-heel, as well.
